When Lenny first moved to Nairobi in 2017, he quickly realized how challenging the city’s traffic could be. Inspired by the agility and independence of boda boda riders navigating the crowded streets, he bought his first motorcycle and was immediately hooked. The feeling of freedom, the ease of movement, and the thrill of exploring Nairobi and its stunning surroundings on two wheels motivated him to share this passion with others. Thus, iRideNairobi was born.
Initially operating solely online, iRideNairobi soon opened its first physical office at The Alchemist in Westlands, Nairobi, in March 2020. Over the next seven years, the company rapidly grew, becoming the leading motorcycle tour and rental company in Kenya and East Africa, recognized for its premium bikes and exceptional customer service.
In 2023, recognizing an opportunity to broaden iRide’s regional presence and offer expanded cross-border experiences, Lenny joined forces with Kevin, whose passion for adventure and motorcycles had similarly inspired him to establish roots in Arusha, Tanzania. Kevin’s deep connection to Tanzania’s culture, landscapes, and people perfectly complemented iRide’s vision. Together, they launched iRideArusha, strengthening the brand’s capacity to offer seamless motorcycle adventures between Kenya and Tanzania.
Today, Lenny is proud to see these two successful ventures united under the banner of iRideAfrica. The corporate entity now stands as East Africa’s premier motorcycle touring and rental company, committed to providing exceptional service, quality motorcycles, and authentic regional experiences. With a strong emphasis on sustainable growth, local employment, and fostering meaningful connections between travelers and the vibrant communities of East Africa, iRideAfrica represents the culmination of Lenny and Kevin’s shared passion, vision, and dedication.
