iRideAfrica partnered with a tour agency to create an unforgettable 7-day adventure. Starting in Nairobi, the route took riders through scenic tea plantations to Aberdare National Park, with its breathtaking waterfalls and diverse wildlife. The journey continued to Rumuruti and Marigat, near Lake Baringo, before heading to Molo and the stunning views of the Great Rift Valley. The tour’s highlight was the Masai Mara, renowned for its game drives, followed by a visit to Lake Naivasha for boat rides and bird watching.
Despite challenges like bad weather, iRideAfrica’s guides expertly managed the situation, ensuring a seamless experience with support vehicles and mechanics on standby. The participants praised the diverse landscapes, wildlife encounters, and cultural interactions. This tour demonstrated iRideAfrica’s commitment to providing top-notch service, reliability, and a truly memorable adventure.
For a quick yet impactful experience, iRideAfrica crafted a 3-day expedition with a tour partner. The journey began in Nairobi, traversing the scenic Ngong Hills and Suswa to the iconic Maasai Mara. Day two featured an exciting game drive and a ride to Molo through the Mau Reserve. The final day took participants to Naivasha, known for its lake and abundant birdlife, including a boat ride and a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park.
Throughout the tour, iRideAfrica’s team ensured safety and satisfaction with daily briefings and flexible itineraries. Despite occasional challenges like bad weather, the tour was a resounding success, with participants highlighting the stunning views, wildlife encounters, and rich cultural experiences. This tour showcased iRideAfrica’s expertise in organizing seamless, high-standard tours that left a lasting impression on all involved.
iRideAfrica partnered with Motor Trails and Dragon Trails in 2023 for a truly unique expedition from Cape Town to Nairobi. iRideAfrica shipped the bikes by container down to Cape Town where over 10 courageous dutch riders started the expedition back to Nairobi. The tour made its way through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda back to Kenya. The group experienced countless adventures along the way from unforeseen border shenanigans, to adverse weather conditions and unexpected animal encounters.
iRideAfrica was responsible for the motorcycles as well as the support vehicle. An iRideAfrica mechanic accompanied the tour and carried out daily maintenance but also fixed several bigger issues including 2 failed crankshafts. At one point additional spares had to be sent by plane from Nairobi to Lusaka to top-up the existing spare inventory. An iRideAfrica driver was responsible for carrying all of the luggage in the support vehicle. It was a difficult task keeping up with the riders across very rough terrain. In the end when the group got back to Nairobi, there was a sense of jubilation and relief for having completed over 2 months of riding across southern Africa.
